Golf Camp
A Unique Opportunity for all Ability Levels
Five days of Driving Range and On-Course instruction at Harvest Hill, Bright Meadows, Rothland and Ironwood golf courses
The camp will use these distinct facilities to provide golfers with focused learning in putting, chipping and pitching, sand play, and the long game.
- Emphasis on etiquette/rules and swing mechanics
- Convenient Drop-off and Pick-up at Nichols
- Developed and directed by the Nichols Girls Golf Coach, Ronald Montesano
- Counselors include members of the Nichols School Girls and Boys varsity golf teams
Session 1: June 16 - June 20, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Session 2: June 23 - June 27, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Cost: $335.00 per session
Ages 9 - 14
Hockey Camp
- Full-day hockey school for boys and girls
- Individual and team skills development
- Daily off-ice activities include soccer, basketball, tennis and weight training
- Lunch provided daily

Session 1: August 11 - August 15, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Session 2: August 18 - August 22, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

“AAA” Hockey Evening Clinic
- Elite level, three day clinic, provides six hours of conditioning and skill development
- Ideal for advanced players who have one or more years of AAA hockey experience
- Training will include advanced skating, shooting, stick handling and passing.
- Players will learn to become on-ice “problem solvers”, through discussion and implementation of team concepts in non-traditional, situational scrimmages
- Games are designed to force the player to analyze the movement of the game, become aware of space management, and incorporate these concepts into coordinated team play
- Both offensive and defensive strategies will be covered
August 12 - 14: ages 11-12 (PeeWee), 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
August 19 - 21: ages 13-14 (Bantam), 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Football Clinic
- A non-contact program that is appropriate for all ability levels, beginner to varsity
- Emphasis is on conditioning and fundamentals
- Conducted by the Nichols School Varsity Football Coaching Staff

Open to grades 5 - 12
Girls Lacrosse Clinic
- Directed by Beth Stone, Lacrosse Coach for Nichols School
- Geared toward advanced and intermediate players who want to take their game to the next level
- The latest techniques will be used to enhance individual skill as well overall knowledge of the game
- Players will be grouped according to age and ability level
- Space is limited and applications are processed on a first come, first served basis

“Getting to the Heart of Girls”
- Designed to create a fun and safe environment for girls to empower their hearts, minds and spirits

Writing for the College Application
Get a Head Start on the College Application Process
- Instruction on writing all aspects of the college application, with a focus on the “personal statement”
- Three-week course consists of six, three-hour intensive workshops
- On-site, one-on-one tutorial available
- Small class size
- Directed by Nichols English teacher Larry Desautels

Open to high school seniors
SAT Prep Course
Focused instruction for the Scholastic Aptitude Test
- Intensive concentration on the verbal and mathematic components of the test
- Addresses all aspects of the test-taking experience, including time management and problem-solving strategies
- All course materials included in enrollment fee
- Small class size
- Directed by Nichols School English Department Chair, Roddy Potter
Session 1: July 28 - August 8, 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Session 2: August 4 - August 15, 12:30 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Cost: $350.00 per session
Open to high school juniors and seniors
Driver Education
- Combines the benefits of practical driving skills and defensive driving techniques
- Program consists of 24 hours of classroom instruction and 24 hours of in-vehicle instruction, including 6 hours behind the wheel
- Will qualify the student for DMV Certification and insurance reduction certificate
- Students must attend all scheduled classes to meet requirements for successful completion

Cost: $435
Open to students 16 years and older with valid learner permit or drivers license by the first day of class

Sports Performance Academy
Not Just Another Plyometric or General Athlete Training System
- Program includes a functional movement screen by a healthcare professional
- A corrective exercise regimen based on the specific deficits of the individual athlete
- Instruction in a movement preparation program to enhance the athletes abilities
- Strength, conditioning and flexibility exercises focusing on multi-dimensional movements
- Acceleration training, deceleration training, agility drills and overall physical conditioning drills for enhanced energy system development
- Discussion and education on core values, general wellness and additional factors that may specifically influence an athletes ability to succeed
- Directed by Chris Nentarz, a Physical Therapist, Certified Strength Training Specialist and Performance Enhancement Specialist
June 24 to August 14, Tuesdays & Thursdays 9 am - 10 a.m. or 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
